Freshman Applicants/Regular Undergraduate Admission
Students can learn about IU admission standards online at www.admit.indiana.edu. IU's admission standards are also printed in all undergraduate application materials. Students who have never attended a college or university and who want to enroll as freshmen in an IU degree program must file a Freshman Application for Admission. Students are encouraged to apply online at www.admit.indiana.edu. After completing an application, students should ask their high schools to complete the appropriate academic information page if submitting the paper application, or complete the Counselor Signature Page if submitting the online application. In either case, an official high school transcript must be forwarded directly from the high school to the Office of Admissions (electronic high school transcripts, such as Docufide are acceptable). SAT and/or ACT test results (including writing section) must also be sent.
Applications for First and Second Sessions should be submitted by April 1 and April 15, respectively.
Transfer Applicants/Regular Undergraduate Admission
Students who want to enter an IU degree program and who are transferring from other colleges or universities should file an online Transfer Application for Admission available at www.admit.indiana.edu. Students who have completed less than one year of college work should send official copies of their high school record and their college transcripts to the Office of Admissions. Students who have completed a year or more of college coursework do not need to have their secondary school records sent. To be official, university and high school transcripts must be sent directly from one educational institution to another. Applications for First and Second Summer Session should be submitted by April 1 and April 15, respectively.
Prospective transfer students can utilize the Credit Transfer Service Web site at http://cts.admissions.indiana.edu to see how courses from other universities will transfer to IUB.
NOTE: All undergraduate domestic students applying for regular admission must pay a nonrefundable application fee of $50.
